Meditation, Breathwork, and Deep Relaxation in Leeds, NY

While many bachelorette groups opt for a more movement-based yoga practice, I've noticed a shift lately. More groups are choosing to slow down with pranayama (breathing exercises), meditation, and deep relaxation with sound healing.

I love offering this practice because it invites us to go somewhere movement can't always take us. When the body settles into true stillness, the mind follows, and what opens up in that space is something really special to witness in a group setting.

Recently I had the pleasure of working with a group of six celebrating their bride-to-be at a rental property in Leeds. We gathered in their loft, mats laid out with cozy pillows and blankets, and created a little sanctuary together.

We opened by dedicating the practice to someone we love which immediately brought the group into the same current. From there we moved through a body and breath awareness practice, then into several pranayama techniques designed to calm the nervous system and quiet the mind.

Once settled, I guided the group into Yoga Nidra, or psychic sleep, a practice of progressive relaxation that moves through every part of the body before releasing the mind entirely into deep rest. We closed with a sound meditation bath from my Panda drum.

Here's what the group had to say:

"Gabby was an excellent instructor for my best friend's bachelorette weekend! She perfectly matched the vibe of meditation and relaxation we were hoping for. She was also super accommodating for one of the guests who was pregnant and made sure everyone was comfortable and relaxed. Would definitely recommend!"

If you'd like to bring this experience to your group, book now.
