Join Us: Backpacking and Yoga Trip in Bears Ears, Utah
This fall, I'm doing something I've been dreaming about for a long time. I'm bringing Yoga into the backcountry of Bears Ears National Monument, and I want you to come with me.
From September 27 to October 1, I'm co-hosting a five-day guided backpacking trip in Bears Ears with the incredible team at KMAC Guides. We'll hike through desert terrain, sleep under stars, explore ancient sandstone canyons, and visit some of the most significant Ancestral Puebloan cultural sites in the country. It is, without exaggeration, one of the most sacred landscapes on this continent.
This trip is made for women of all levels. The total distance runs about 15 miles over three backpacking days, at a pace that leaves room for exploration, rest, and wonder. KMAC's guides are experienced, attentive, and genuinely excellent at what they do.
Yoga sessions happen daily and are completely optional. I've designed them specifically to meet the physical demands of each day: energizing before a big trail day, restorative if we’re tired. No mat required.
Join us in Bears Ears National Monument this fall
Bears Ears holds 2,500 years of Ancestral Puebloan history written into its sandstone walls, and we travel through it with real respect for the Navajo, Hopi, Ute, and Zuni peoples who have called this land home and fought to protect it for generations. Your KMAC guides and Bears Ears rangers will help prepare you to engage with these places in the way they deserve.
The group is small intentionally. You'll come back closer to the people you went with than you expected.
Spots are limited and the date is coming up fast. You can book through the link in my bio or head directly to the listing at exploreorigin.com. Questions are welcome at womeninwildplaces@gmail.com or info@kmacguides.com.
See you in the canyon.
